I had a really uncomfortable experience with a bartender named Brooke. A guy at the bar offered to buy drinks for me and my blonde, white friend, and Brooke was completely willing to let him do so. However, when my Black friend—the person who was actually speaking with this guy—tried to have him buy her a drink as well, Brooke would not allow it.
