Potato Hill and the Black River Environmental Improvement Association offers a wonderful experience to cross country ski or snow shoe at no cost through the beautiful property. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The trails were well groomed and serene and the barn offers a comfortable warming hut with a wood burning stove. Support for the center and trails is generously provided by the Butler Conservation Fund.
Had a great time snow shoeing. The employees were so nice and welcoming. They fit you for your equipment and show you how to snow shoe. They have picnic tables in the barn it's heated too. You can bring drinks snacks or back a little lunch and sit and eat. Bathroom's are heated too. And the trail's are well groomed. Plus it's free and so is the equipment. I highly recommend going with your family. Iam going back to do the cross country skiing soon.
