Absolutely terrible experience with Black River Electrical Contracting and Chris Heil. I was quoted for a 26kW Generac model and confirmed via email that we were good to go. Based on that, I declined multiple competing quotes and moved forward with them. Then, out of nowhere, I was told the model had been “sold off” and that I’d have to purchase a newer model for $13,890 instead—a $1,300+ increase or go with a 24kW model which was still $600 over the original quoted price. Arrived at the house, rang the doorbell and announced that he was here and would be about an hour. Notified us that all was good and he would see us in a year.
Chris and team did an amazing job installing my EV charger. I am very impressed.
In a serious pinch and they sent someone to fix my generator and ensure I was getting back up power this winter. They monitor things and are always notifying me of any issues.
