Ordered a burnt end special with German potato salad and Mexican pasta salad to go. The meat was very hard and dry almost like jerky. Maybe we should have Ordered to eat in. Won't get anything from this place again.
We order the 4 meat plate and the burnt end plate… ALL of the meat was dry. The pinto beans could have been cooked a bit longer the the sour kraut tasted like sour cream… the German potato salad had no flavor and the Mexican pasta salad… was mediocre. honestly the only good thing on the plate was the buns and pickles. The man who served us was super nice. Maybe we caught them on a bad day.. doubtful though.
After hearing good things, I decided to order a wide variety of items for my first visit to get a true sense of what this restaurant had to offer. The brisket was the biggest disappointment. It was noticeably overcooked, resulting in a dry, chewy texture with very little of the rich, smoky beef flavor that defines good brisket. It lacked both moisture and depth. The 4 meat platter was the best bbq sampler I've ever had! All items were perfectly done, the brisket and ribs sent me through the roof. Cant wait to return!
