I feel compelled to author my review after reading several reviews from fake clients/imposters or deadbeat whiners (yes you are the ones who typically end up being the deadbeat parents). I went through a lengthy custody battle in Livingston County Courts, from 2004 to 2007. I am a male so I was already behind the 8 ball as almost every court in Michigan always gives advantage to the female. (how is that inclusive or equal? write your congress person) So I had to bring in some serious law power to make a solid attempt to get ... read more

I had a very disappointing experience with J. Black & Associates, P.L.C., particularly with their communication and billing practices. After paying $250 for a one-hour consultation with Attorney Bechtel, I decided not to proceed with their services. However, I was surprised to receive an invoice for $431.25, despite never signing an agreement with them or authorizing any additional services. Julia handled a case for me years ago. She was fantastic and didn't put up with any of their antics. I would use her again in a heartbeat!
