Black Ink is quirky and fun-tastic! I love this place. The only detraction is the steep prices... but the selection of imports, quirky items, and unique gifts is just mind-boggling (or "mind-bottling" if you're a Will Ferrell fan, haha). They have great high-end wrapping paper which is really only as much as you'd pay for similar paper at Paper Source or any of those stationary shops. They also will can your small items in lieu of giftwrap for $4... as in seal your item in a nondescript aluminum soup-type can! It's pretty gr... read more

eclectic design, great selection Lots of unusual and hard to find elsewhere products. To get all that in a convenient and great place to shop, well, I'm willing to pay the price. All you folks who are complaining about price have obviously not shopped in New York recently, or anywhere else where design and style matter.

great, varied selection - good for gifts Whenever I'm Christmas shopping, I end up stopping in at Black Ink. They fit a ton of stuff into their relatively small stuff and it's always interesting and fun to look through. You can find tiny board games, kitchen gadgets, and all sorts of unique stuff here. It can be a little difficult looking around, as the store really utilizes its wall space by stocking items all the way up to the ceiling but even if you go for the things just on the bottom shelves, it's worth a look.

must see I stop by here whenever I can. They alway have new stuff coming in and the collection is very eclectic. Some vintage, some modern and some stuff is out of this world. They have some neat glassware in the back of the stuff. Be sure to look up the walls, since their stuff goes to the ceilings as well.

Perfect for a quick and unusual gift I found about 5 little items here for my mom's birthday, a lady hard to buy for because it seems like she has everything she needs. Here, you'll find magnetic thumb tacks, teenie tiny measuring cups, unique bar tools, big paper clips and round dice. They're items you don't know are out there, but that can add simplicity and fun to your life. The unique stock is fun to explore and the prices are great. Find a little gift to brighten someone's day- it's likely they'll be as surprised by the... read more

cute stuff I simply adore this store. There is such a strange collection of collectibles and just kitchy stuff. Merchandise is pile to the ceiling and there is stuff just everywhere. Some of the items here, just don't have any purpose.. Check out the china and glass wear in the back of the store. Parking is a nightmare and so is driving here. Right across from the train station. Prices are a little high, but cheaper than ordering online.

Eclectic and Fun Assortment of Items! Right in the middle of Harvard Square, this store has the most random assortment of items I have ever seen. Its a nice place to get a fun gift for a friend, but theres not much practicality to anything in the store, except to serve as a nice source of amusement. Im always surprised with what I might find in here each time.

Cute stuff! Great gifts. Really cute store. They're always changing their items so it doesn't get old. I stop by pretty much every time I go to Harvard Square. Usually it's just funny to browse and you find weird funny things like a handbook on competitive paper, rock, scissors or rubber bands in the shape of animals. Nice for cute gifts.
