Damien kept us informed of what was happening with the weather, reminded us of what to bring the day before. Chris and Dan were quick at getting the balloon set up and taken down, and Kay made us feel VERY safe with her explanations of what was happening and her expertise at flying! Great ride. The pilots were excellent and safety first. And who better to tell an Irish joke.
My Fiancee Jenny has always wanted a balloon ride.....I have not. She loved it so much. From her captain Damien, to their dog Charlie....it was an experience of pure child like joy.
Damien provided us a wonderful trip, cannot describe the beauty and peacefulness. Everyone of the crew was wonderful and knowledgeable. Safety is foremost and presentation during the flight was great. Also want to thank the ground crew for allowing my wife, which was not able to fly because of medical conditions, to follow along with the chase crew, which she throughly enjoyed.
The experience of black hills ballon’s was amazing, our guide and pilot of the ballon (Damien) and ground crew were really impressive. They were knowledgeable, adaptive and very kind. Any questions or concerns we had were answered swiftly and with confidence! We were even taught about the history of hot air balloons which was taught with champagne and snacks. It was truly magical and my husband says it was a “It was experience checked off my bucket list I didn’t know I had!”.
