Had a chimney fire. They took the doors to “reseal” them, then it took over 4 MONTHS to get the doors back. Then told us they were warped and in order to use the stove we had to put on OVEN MITTS and PULL UP on the hot door while using full body weight to close it. I went to the hardware store and got a washer for the latch. Turns out that’s all it needed to latch properly without risking burning our selves. They installed my fireplace insert a few years ago and I try to have them come out every year to give it a cleaning. It’s been running great although I have to go back lately because my dog chewed up the remote on it. 🤦🏼♂️🫤
A policy of charging a customer 178 dollars to come out for 15 minutes and say they can not help you in any way shape or form is a tough pill to swallow. In all fairness they did explain to me they would charge me for coming out but I was hoping for a little more than nothing. It was kind of laughable to suggest they would return the 178 dollars if I purchased a brand new fireplace with them. Felt like extortion, take from that what you will.
