Didn't want to post a review right away, last year 10/24 my daughter and myself brought a load of donated supplies for hurricane relief ,the trans went out of my truck got truck to Black Bear transmission Monday morning ,10:00 Thursday we was headed back home. I was treated very Well, DID NOT get taken advantage of gave us rides between motel and shop.Its been a year since job was done no problems Thank You for the service
Kept my car for a month, and supposedly put a new computer thing in it and rebuilt the transmission. When I got the car back it was doing exactly the same thing it was doing when I took it in....so, it was "guaranteed" for a year. So I took the car back to them on a Friday and they called me on Monday and said it wasn't the transmission and they couldn't fix it. I took it to Waynesville to Advance transmission and they fixed it. Very expensive mistake not paying attention to the bad reviews of this place. So, do not make the... read more
Had my transmission replaced and they forgot to hook up my vacuum hoses but "suggested" I check them when I said the car wouldn't run. Overall that's the only complaint. Car is back on the road and transmission I bought for them to install is working. As far as price they were the cheapest around hands down, I would recommend this shop for anyone who has their own transmission to put in like I did. 1,000 for installation isn't bad, he did want 4,000 to rebuild tho. Other shop wanted almost 2,000 just to install, overall not ... read more
