We waited for over 10 minutes just to get greeted. We then waited over an hour for our food and our server didn’t even take our order. Empty drinks and terrible service. Would 10/10 NEVER recommend. Was not offered any compensation
One bartender was charging more for drinks than the other and likely pocketing the difference.
I was excited to try this restaurant while vacationing in the area, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing. The quality of the food was not what I expected, especially considering the reviews and reputation of the place. In addition, the service was slow and inattentive, which made the experience even more frustrating. Overall, this visit did not meet expectations, and I left feeling disappointed.
Visited Black Bear with a group visiting for the weekend and we were so impressed! There was a variety of food to choose from and everything looked delicious! Our server and everyone at the restaurant were so friendly and accommodating, and the live music was a plus. Anyone looking for good local grub with good music should check it out!
Four years ago we visited the Black Bear and had an enjoyable evening but time has plagued this establishment. The food was far below basic, service was slow and confused (probably overwhelmed from the incompetence in the kitchen), and the atmosphere was dead.
