My brief visit to Black Bear garage today, and meeting Tania and Duane, reminded me of the honest, straightforward, having-your-back kind of vibes I remember noticing as a kid going into our small town mechanic in the 90s. Black Bear Auto did great work with servicing my 4x4 vehicle (driveline & suspension, brakes) Good scheduling, turn around and communication with techs. They do alignments as well.

Overall, I had a good experience with the service, and the staff was professional and courteous. However, after the service, I noticed damage/denting on my car's body that was not there before. I was disappointed because everything else went smoothly. I hope they improve their care and attention when handling customers’ vehicles.

As a local guide I can honestly say that Duane and his lads helped me out with a pre purchase inspection on a Tacoma. He was quick, detailed, and gave me really great advice. I would recommend this place to any of my friends and none of my enemies. Black bears are lovely mammals and it seems fitting to name a great auto shop after such a terrific creature.
