We've always considered BJ'S as consistant; service, food, ambiance. Last night proved us wrong. Our waiter was not on the ball, the food was, for the most part, overcooked and hardly eatable.. Hubbies hamburger was overcooked and dry, the fries were cremated, sandwich: the bread was dried out and hard (it was remade) the tri tip was cremated and looked like charcoal, again fries were terrible. The pizza was outstanding but it took 1 1/2 hours to get our food. Very disappointing

It took an hour and a half only to get over cooked Brisket Fries Burgers!! There were 8 of us and only the soup was eatable! Service was awful also!! Burned food over cooked even a chicken Sandwich was dried bread! Overall. Terrible experience! My once or twice visit will end now!!

BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse – Modesto, where time stands still and service goes to die. Let me set the scene: a simple dinner outing that turned into a two and a half hour hostage situation. My “three-course meal” began with drinks that were so neglected I started to wonder if they were part of an archaeological exhibit. Refills? Not in this lifetime. I stopped by BJ’s at Vintage Faire Mall in Modesto for fish and chips. At $22, the undercooked batter was pasty, the fish fell apart and tasted bland, and the fries weren’t crispy or fresh. The plate looked sloppy, and the most of the football games on the TVs were difficult to see. I told the server I was dehydrated and needed water; he refilled my water one time and then I had to chase him down.
