This A2 owned store has the best selection of quality sport and casual clothing in Washtenaw county as far as I'm concerned. You have to be under size 12 and young-at-heart to wear some of the clothes, but I'm in my 60's and always get compliments on the clothes I buy there. They have good sales too; just got a great NorthFace down coat for a lot less than some online discounters. They carry ONLY quality goods. This is the store to find stylish clothes you won't see at the Mall.
Good selection of good quality winter wear as well as clothing for men and women. Prices are a little high.
Bivouac is great, high end, clothing and equipment! Bivouac is a great store, a cut above REI and several cuts above most other outfitters. People say it's expensive, but the prices are suggested retail and often on sale. Plus, it's easy enough to get any price matched that you bring in, so stop crying about the expense. Some of the other reviewers have commented about Bivouac's high prices, but I have found exceptional deals at this store. They have a 100% price match guarantee (even online sales) and have frequent sales/discounts. I got a pair of boots for 60% off and a couple pairs of socks for free. The last time I checked, I didn't find any "hippies" at the store. The staff are some of the friendliest I've found in any store, and they're definitely knowledgable about what they sell. Overall, a great store.
Great store and friendly staff! Bivouac is THE place to go if you're looking for any outdoor gear in Ann Arbor. They have a price match guarantee: I printed out a sale page from an online Northface retailer and they gave it to me for the same price. The staff are extremely helpful and know their stuff! Bivouac also sells men's and women's designer fashion (expensive, but sometimes goes on sale).

Great store Bivouac is a great store which is centrally located right in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor which makes it close to everything! The store focuses on outdoors equipment, which will be able to help you with all of your camping, hiking, or backpacking needs. A vast product line that includes everything from shoes, sunglasses, tents and backpacks.
Wide selection, but expensive This place has a great selection of products for your next camping trip or hike up Everest. They also sell fashionable clothes for women, which I never really understood. It usually seems like most of the people here are buying things because they say "The North Face" and not because they need them, if they even know what to do with them. For what it's worth, they did pricematch something from the internet, but that was 8 years ago. Your mileage may vary.
Great Camping Supply Store Bivouac is a cross between a camping supply store and an upscale Abercrombie and Fitch. One half of the store has everything you could ever need to survive in the outdoors- tents, sleeping bags, portable showers, etc. They also have a really large selection of outerwear and sunglasses.
