Oh Manu! The food was pre-prepared possibly supervised by Manu but oh Manu the service was "horrible"...translate...aubergine, Montenegro, vermouth for your staff....the set menu needed sides but none were offered. A disappointing experience.
An absolute hidden gem, this restaurant has exceeded expectations in every way.
Tonight we hopped on the 501 bus to Rozelle, about 15 minutes west of where we're based. We dined at Bistro Red Lion by Manu of MKR and Plate of Origin fame. The bistro is on the first floor above a very busy and lively Red Lion pub. The decor is French bistro chic and the ambience is very warm and inviting. As a Canadian visitor , local friends said this is where we are going for a Friday special dinner. It was wonderful . I taught great bartender Fletcher a classic Vesper. He nailed it. Waiter Walker was informative, attentive, kind . Would definitely recommend this restaurant! Great food and drink and awesome service
Fantastic food! I was surprised with a birthday dinner here, and it turned out to be an amazing experience. The food was outstanding and incredibly fresh. The service was attentive and detail-oriented, which made the evening feel extra special. Prices varied across the dishes but were still very reasonable, especially considering the quality. I couldn’t recommend it more highly!
