I like the ambience - high end yet cozy, and the service - the servers really go out of their way to ensure you're having a good time. It's "almost" perfect for a date night, if not for the most important element: the food. All of the dishes we had were at best just decent with some really disappointing dishes. Bistro du Midi was just ok. I had dinner here on a Friday night with my mom while visiting Boston. We had escargot to start (meh), steak frites (very good), and a Ni�oise salad (salad part was great, tuna was tough and chewy, and “anchovies” were inedible). Service was very kind, but also very disorganized. Great location across from the Public Garden. Sitting alfresco on a beautiful evening was enjoyable and made the evening special. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent. I had the mussels and my friend had the duck. Both were delicious. Lovely inside dining as well. Very cozy and on nice days they open up the exterior wall to the outside. Would visit again! Excellent wine selections.
