Fantastic food, subpar service. Had to ask multiple times for our first round of drinks even after our food arrived. Was served a soup with no spoon, and took our waitress another ~10 minutes to get one after I asked.
Bistro du Midi has great reviews, but if you filter for the lower ones, it makes more sense. One reviewer said service was awkward and that hit the nail on the head. They’re all very nice, but inattentive to actual dining/beverage beyond “how is it going?!” loudly asked with no follow through. There were plenty of staff yet ours and other tables went consistently ignored. I was treated to dinner by a dance student who lives in the area and adores this place. The service was very accommodating and the staff did their best to see to our enjoyment. There was a customer obstructing the walk way which caused a minor incident, but the staff was very efficient and professional about it. I plan on a second time for sure.
Great food with everything very well balanced! Matthew was especially great with everything, exceptional service :)
