Bistro du Midi is worthy of this 5-star rating for their ambiance, attentive waitstaff, delicious food and the wide selection of wines and cocktails. We could have dined al fresco on the ground floor, room which was exposed and thank goodness the weather cooperated, but we opted for the upper floor, gained by a spiral stairway w brass handrails which led us to a round table on the front corner. My husband and I had an amazing lunch today. Matthew was our server and I would definitely try to make sure he was there the next time we go. Service was 10/10. He checked in on us but was never intrusive. The food was spectacular and the vibe was great. Definitely will return. Thanks Matthew!!

Would have loved to give this restaurant a straight five-star review. However, there were a couple of things that were not acceptable. First off, the food was outstanding. If you are looking for a special place to go, or you just enjoy having high-quality food that is masterfully prepared, this is one of the best places to go in Boston. I don't know if it was our particular serversor their training or the lack of training from the restaurant. The major turnoff was that we were about 75 to 80% into our meal.
