O’Dowd helped me to open up my world by preparing me for higher education. My family didn’t have much but they all sacrificed so I could attend. I was the first person in my immediate family to attend and graduate from college with my BA and MA degrees. I am the third child and the only one to attend O’Dowd. After me, my brother and sister both earned their college degrees. My nieces and nephews are now earning their college degrees as well. O’Dowd is a true community that embraces service learning, teaches the importance of social justice and taking care of our environment, and provides fantastic academic opportunities...not to mention the great sports program and variety of clubs. We are feeling incredibly blessed that our entire family was able to attend this amazing school. A special shout out to Fran Warmerdam, Mr. Judd, Mr. Green, Mr. Vierra, Sara Bauermeister, and Coach Hubble for making a difference in the lives of both of our kids. Forever grateful!
