When I read some of the negative posts about Dr. Bishop on here, I was afraid to go for my consult, as I am an extremely nervous person when going to a dentist. I was so pleasantly surprised. Dr. Bishop is a fantastic dentist and person in general. He was so informative and kind to me. He put me completely at ease. I was sedated for my root canal, and I was even nervous about that. Not at all a good experience. Insist your dentist send you to a second specialist if things seem off. Go with your gut.
Had a root canal on upper molar with 4 roots. Was expecting this to be a difficult procedure. Dr Emily Bishop and her assistant were incredible. On initial visit they were thorough and answered all my questions. I couldn’t believe how well the procedure itself went. Hardly even felt the freezing needles. No pain at all during the procedure. And what really struck me is when I left I hardly even felt like I just had a major root canal. Sitting here the next day, no pain at all!
I have never seen upfront thievery in a healthcare profession quite like I have with this office. Does not direct bill because it’s “too much work on their end.” Direct quote from the office. “Direct billing is great for you guys but for us it’s a hassle and too much work.” Another direct quote. Will not accept X-rays that are under a month old from a different office. Expecting $500 for a second x ray/consultation.
