I was referred by this birth center for a sonogram at 10 days past my due date, because my fundal height had decreased. At no point did the birth center inform me that this was an emergency. I told Christina that I would go to St. Pete, which was the doctor's office that I had previously been to. She told me to go to Sarasota Memorial Hospital, because it was closer to birthways, even though I lived in St. Pete. Had my first baby at Birthways and was very pleased with my labor experience. Midwife Alaija was AMAZING. Made me feel so comfortable and informed throughout the whole labor. Because of her guidance throughout, I was able to feel totally in control and aware of everything happening in my body. Wouldn’t change anything about my birth it was so beautiful
First time dad here. Pregnancy and Birth are very intense and complicated situations, that we have to journey with our partners through. Christina, McGuire, and the entire Birthways team helps you navigate this, at a very reasonable price. I could not be more grateful or appreciative of these women for assisting me and my partner through our birthing journey. If you want to avoid hospitals and be in a home style setting - this is the place to do it.
We had both our babies at birthways and wouldn't have had it any other way. The midwives are so helpful and truly care for you.
