Birthstone is truly a blessing to have in our community. Brandi was both my doula and lactation consultant and I can’t recommend her enough. Birthstone has empowered me so much as a new mom! I attended a breastfeeding class with Brandi during pregnancy and felt so well equipped walking out of that class, and I’ve had tremendously helpful lactation visits since my baby was born. Brandi answers all of my frantic questions in a nonjudgmental manner and takes her time walking me through the basics, and I credit so much of my breastfeeding experience to her guidance. I’m looking forward to utilizing more resources through Birthstone like the mom support groups!

How fortunate we are to have Brandi here in WNC! As a first time mom I visited her with a long list of questions and concerns, which were all graciously addressed. She took her time and made my husband and I feel so much more confident. She is extremely thorough and provided an incredibly detailed report, which has resolved all of our lactation troubles. If you are in need of a lactation specialist I cannot recommend Brandi highly enough!

I cannot speak highly enough of the level of care provided, friendly service and genuine passion to help families. I scheduled an appointment with Brandi after our infant was not gaining weight on the ideal curve and had a fantastic experience. I was really hopeful when this lactation consultant was recommended to me, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing. I paid $220 out of pocket (not covered by insurance) for a home visit. During the appointment, the LC said I would receive a report with recommendations for my baby within 24 hours. I had to follow up three times and didn’t receive the report until five days later. She also mentioned she would check in 2–3 weeks after the visit to see how things were going—it's been well past that and I haven't heard ... read more
