We met Ann when we did her prenatal class 6 years ago. Her class made us feel more confident and prepared entering parenthood. Then she helped with 2 of my births at NHH. She is a very talented doula. She brought stuff to the hospital I didn't even think of bringing, helped me with different techniques while in labour and also made sure I had enough ice chips . While pregnant she was there for any questions I had too. My only regret is not having her for my first 2 births!
We took Ann’s weekend prenatal class through the Cobourg EarlyOns centre and it was fantastic, I cannot recommend it enough! Husband and I went from feeling unaware and nervous about labour to a tiny bit excited for this thing we would do together as a team. As a doula, Ann has SO MUCH practical tips and tricks for labour, and her background as a nurse gives such a wealth of medical knowledge and experience as well - a perfect balance. We cannot say enough good things about Ann. We took her prenatal course and from there learned that she was a doula. We knew that we wanted her at the birth of our baby! She is so well educated and has the calmest aura about her. She made sure that I was comfortable and offered suggestions throughout the labouring process. Ann is such a wealth of information. Being first an RPN, and having multiple children of her own, she has decades of very very useful information behind her! I booked her for a pre-natal consult, and was overly impressed!
