Left traumatized and they messed up my baby birth certificate so now I gotta figure out how to handle that. They put my baby and I at risk for a vaginal push even though my baby’s heart rate plummeted THREE TIMES within a 24hr span and didn’t not recommend c section until it turned into a emergency c section that was even more traumatic. Then come to find out I had pre- eclampsia and umbilical cord was wrapped around my baby’s neck. A few nurses were extremely nice but was definitely left traumatized that I wish I could forg... read more
Birthing? Five Stars. Postpartum? Zero Stars. The docs at UW Medicine Montlake handled the main event like pros—solid five-star birthing experience. But the postpartum care? Woof. It's so bad it dragged this rating into the Mariana Trench. Let's start with the "Board Certified" lactation consultant. "Creepy as hell" is an understatement. They made my postpartum recovery experience feel like an all-inclusive hotel (just with much worse sleep). Je... read more
My birth experience at UW was deeply traumatic, and I feel compelled to warn others. From a botched epidural to failed attempts at breaking my water during induction, the situation spiraled into a C-section where, afterward, nurses couldn’t even identify the medications they were administering. There has been zero accountability for what happened. I cannot recommend UW Montlake to anyone who values their well-being. I loved loved being pregnant —but this experience felt like medical negligence and trauma, not care.
I cannot recommend the Childbirth Center at UW Medical Center - Montlake highly enough, especially for families facing a high-risk pregnancy. We recently welcomed our identical twin daughters via a planned C-section, and the level of care we received was exceptional from start to finish. From the beginning, our Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialists were professional and attentive, guiding us through every step of our complex pregnancy with expertise. Our experience on the day of delivery was flawless. The operating room ... read more
