Had shoulder surgery by Dr Jefferson Davis here. I had read reviews and most were very good. I must say i could not have had my surgery done at a better place. Everyone was so nice,helpful, and professional. Pre-op nurse was so good at her job and very easy to talk with. She explained everything as it happened and what to expect. Dr. Davis is an amazing person and prayed with me before the surgery. A GODLY man and i was so blessed to have him on my side.
I had surgery there on Tuesday and I must say the staff that took care of me was great. Amanda Pre-Op, Tiffany-OR, Mindy, Laura Post OP recovery and Dr Shearer-Anesthesia. Dr. Knox is the best!
I waited a few days post op and off meds to get some perspective and see if I needed to write a review. After some thought, I need to warn people about Birmingham surgery center. My doctor and surgeon were very nice and competent and the pre-op nurse was so kind, helpful and knew what she was doing. The medical staff were excellent but this review is for the billing department. I had surgery at this facility on November 1, 2024 and was charged over $1,300. I found out through my insurance company a few weeks later that my portion should have been a little over $800 and the insurance check was sent on November 27, 2024. It is now early January 2025 and I still do not have the $500 overpayment returned to me. I have left voicemail messages but I have not received any return call.
