I made a reservation to celebrate my birthday in this restaurant and I had a terrible experience. Rating the experience, it would be a 2/5. I arrived to the restaurant within the 15 min grace period, but had one extra guest attending the dinner, when I made this known to the hostess, she said we’d have to wait 30 mins and She would be able to accommodate us…. My friends and I visited for a birthday brunch and were seated shortly after 2pm. At that point, we were informed that several main items—shrimp, salmon, and ackee & saltfish—were already unavailable. Considering brunch begins at 12, it was frustrating that so many options were gone just two hours in. I was shocked to see some of the 1-star reviews because I absolutely love this place! The decor is beautiful, gives off an elegant vibe. Definitely a great spot to take your loved one or spouse! Okay now to speak on the food, I am obsessed with the Bird Pepper Pasta with Salmon! I was surprised at the generous sized portions. I was able to eat and have some to take home. I have ate at Bird Pepper several times, and it always exceeds my expectations. The food is so flavorful, and the portions are perfect! The ambiance is so nice, and I always get 10/10 service. The lamb chops, mussels, pasta, and wings are my favorite to order. I love that the restaurant is located in a prime area so it's great to come in before or after an event.
