My wife found this dentistry office... Showed up for my first visit... All I wanted and could fit into my budget was a simple cleaning... Refused to clean my teeth with out a full dental x-ray taken... I can understand that, as they want to start a file on me... However they show no flexibility what so ever... In my case I have considerable bone loss... (This is not new news to me) I also know that this will eventually mean dentures for me... Run as fast as you can from this office. We as well have used Birchwood dental for many years. The new staff is horrible. Last year my husband had a tooth extracted and partial made and all was fine. Today they told him his teeth were in terrible condition and they would not be able to do just one extraction like they did last year but would need to pull all 4 front lower teeth BUT they would be happy to put us on a payment plan. I have been going here for years since it was the only office in town that took my insurance. At first I liked it. I’ve never had an issue getting in, always nice staff, and quick appointments. Within the last year or 2 there have been big changes with new staff and procedures. I am no longer happy. I used to go to cleanings and leave hearing I was fine no issues and now I was recently told I needed 3 caps! How do I go from no issues to needing 3 caps all in 6 months! I have been going to this dentist for four years and have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Valdes, however I just had a root canal completed and the "new hygienist/guy answering the phone" (not sure how he is qualified to do both jobs!) has no idea what he is doing! Everything that he was supposed to do during the root canal process he needed assistance on, the temporary he made was in my bite and very painful, then he told me to go buy motrin 600 from Walgreens for the pain, which they do not sell without a prescrip... read more
I am very happy as a patient. The Doctors are very gentle and the staff is friendly. They never recommend treatment that I do not need and I consider them to be very ethical. This is important to me when choosing a dentist that you can trust. I highly recommend them to my family and friends and I plan on being a patient for a very long time!
