My mother and I had a lovely stay at the Birch Cabin. It was well-stocked with just about every kitchen tool you'd want - even a milk frother! The cabin was beautiful and very close to everything we wanted in Sister Bay. I could tell there was a lot of thoughtfulness put into the details of our stay. When we had some payment issues, the support team was very responsive.
Top to bottom this was a terrible experience. Do not stay here unless you want to get double charged and go through a credit card dispute to get your funds back. Also, you will be charge for random fee's because they will claim you damaged blankets that you didn't use and will refuse to provide photo proof of the damage. In the past we've always booked with JR Vacation Rentals, highly recommend using their professional rental company instead.
The experience from start to finish was horrific. They double charged my credit card at booking. Took zero responsibility for it. They told me they issued a refund. After two weeks I never received it. I called my CC company and they said a refund was never initiated and advised me to dispute the charge which I did. From there we stayed and immediately after check out received an email saying they found two stains one on a blanket we didn't even use. I emailed back right away. We stayed at this cabin for 10 days and couldn't have been happier with our stay! The cabin is extremely comfortable and cozy with a nice large kitchen and really good bathrooms...plus, it is tastefully decorated and we appreciated how nice the bedding was. We walked into town most mornings and the lighted firepit was a perfect ending to each day!
