Today I had a bad experience at Biolife John Young. The attendant couldn't find my vein, called for help, and it was a complete disaster. They didn't secure the needle, they didn't put the scissors in place, blood leaked onto the chair and stained my shorts and shirt. How can there be so much inexperience? Só bad

The staff member inserting my needle spoke about me as if I wasn't there. She stated it was "stupid [they] are required to take all donors." She would go on to speak to another staff member about how hard it was to locate my vein, all while not saying a single thing to me. When she spoke to me next, she did not bring up anything that was spoken about right in front of me. This did not make me feel welcomed nor safe. Had an appointment at 1p, was seen at 1:45p and turned down because my proof of residence wasn’t within 60 days. When first entering I provided it to the front desk and nothing was said, they told me to take a seat. I would think they should let you know initially since they already seen versus wasting your time.

horrible. The staff clearly seemed like they didn’t want to work and were looking for the smallest excuse to reject donors. They told me my hematocrit was two points too low, so I couldn’t donate. In front of me, another man was turned away because of his blood pressure, which felt like another excuse. It really felt like they were not motivated to do their job and were wasting people’s time. I have been to the center in Kissimmee, and it is much better.
