I had gone to another BioLife (in Latham, NY) that was a little newer, and each time I went, of the four times, they botched the job on the first arm and had to go to the second arm (and they didn't always start with the same arm). In contrast, I have had an amazing experience at the Spencorport location. The last two times I went, I had no troubles and even had virtually no mark on my arms afterward (compared to the very noticeable bruising I've gotten from the other place, as well as a hematoma). Nice competent people.
Place is always super busy
This center needs to have a protocol when short staffed. Wait times in excess of 2 hours - that is not okay. They need to have a diversion program or on-call techs to ensure the center can operate still. I think I'm most upset that they didn't attempt to make any notifications to people that there was going to be excessive wait times or reach out proactively to reschedule people. It shows a complete lack of professionalism or respect to the donors.
