Has become a horrible place to donate.No reason to make an appointment.They don't stick to them.And they randomly decide to take extra plasma from you without paying you money for it
First time I tried donating here when they just opened. Was told I needed permission from my dr tor my mentalhealth, that I can understand. Tried again years later and told my dr didn't fill out the whole page (would of been nice to known that sooner) . Third time, everything seemed fine. But for some reason now they're saying I need permission from my doctor because I use a CPAP machine. USING A CPAP MACHINE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH DONATING! I waited nearly two hours after my scheduled appointment there just to get my screening started for the physical then during the physical the doctor lady just smiled at me and would rub on my abs making me tense up and repeatedly do it while asking why I'm tense. Kinda weird as hell for a physical not gonna lie. Ruby is always there to ensure myself and others are always comfortable. She is very knowledgeable and the group seems to always run smoothly when she is on shift.
I think if the staff were more attentive in the donation area and on top of their bedside manners, rather than worrying about talking to their female coworkers, it may, not only make a lasting impression on the donors, but perhaps impress the coworker they drool over. Had the tech that hooked me up to the machine been more attentive than my donate might have reached more people.
