I'm 100% service-connected, permanent & totally disabled combat veteran. I have several ratings, one being 100% SC P&T for PTSD. I have been in VAMC system for 23+ years. This clinic ignored my medical issues until it became STAGE 4 CANCER. I was given one to two years left but by a miracle that wasn't the VA but a cancer center, saved my life & I have beaten really slim odds but my statistics still aren't great. I used to think the VA I was at before was terrible but after going to this facility, I realize how lucky and fortunate I was at the prior VA. Terrible tableside manner there are days where they get off of work before it's even two or 3 o'clock during the middle of the week. You have to be on top of them to get anything done like you're their supervisor.
Even if you're 100% service-connected permanent & permanent/total, I do not recommend this clinic. If you are a women & are assigned Dr. Webster, I absolutely recommend changing doctors immediately. He doesn't understand really anything about psychiatry beyond "just think positive thoughts". I don't know why a doctor would be clueless as to why anxiety is increased when you're told you have ONE TO TWO YEARS LEFT ON THIS EARTH. I had a 9:30 appointment Thursday June 12 with Dr Mehta. I waited 45min and I was just leaving when he came in. I said I had to leave for a oncology appt. He started yelling he was the only doctor there he was stressed out. I ask why he was yelling and he again said he was the only doctor. I was walking down the hall and was yelling unbelievable over and over. A veteran should not be treated this way.
