I had seizures due to a fall when I was three years old. My seizures lasted for 43 years. They were never under control until I was sent to Cleveland Clinic in the fall of 2018. My worst seizure lasted about four hours non stop. I thought I was going to die that night. But I was sent to the Cleveland Clinic. He said that I needed surgery for my Sciatica that is being caused by arthritis in my spine. But said if he operated now he would only have to operate again in 2-4 years and that I should manage with the meds (pills) I am taking. BUT WHAT ABOUT MY PAIN FOR THE NEXT 2-4 YEARS THAT IS GETTING WORSE?? For this lame 10 minute consult I was charged an arm and a leg and got nothing but attitude from this CC Doctor. Excellent explanation of surgery.
Dr Bingaman is amazing. He did my daughter's hemispherectomy, disconnected and removed a good portion the right hemisphere. She was one year old at the time and had intractable epilepsy, she is 4 now and has been seizure free ever since. Not only is he one of the world's best neurosurgeons, he is also a likable, funny man who is great with kids. Update... my daughter is 9 now and still seizure free 💜
