BL&S is a beautiful little shop well worth a visit. Paul and Pat are a pleasure to get to know and have vast experience with antiques and light fixtures of all description. I have known and done busness with them almost 2 decades. See for yourself, BL&S is a wonderful addition to Biltmore village, and worth a visit, especially at holiday time.
As the holiday season approaches this is a must visit. We have used their pine reed defusers in the church for the Christmas season, and people thought we used real trees. Paul and Pat take time with each customer and treat them all with respect and are glad you stopped in.
Asheville and Biltmore Village are so lucky to have this Quality shop with their extensive inventory of lamps, shades and fabulous antiques. Whether it is an extensive repair, a simple part, advice on a period antique, the correct shade, or even referrals to other shops, Pat and Paul are gracious and always helpful. Don't Miss their elegant Christmas Open House. I am the first in line!
Paul's shop is one of the places I always take guests visiting Asheville. Paul & Pat love meeting & connecting with their clients. From highend antiques to great seasonal decorations at fair prices, its all there. With a constant flow of items in and out refreshing the store there is always something I hadn't noticed before. They provide quick, excellent repair and superior, personable service with shade selection. Can't recommend them highly enough.
I became an unintended victim of Paul's vitriol recently and was aghast at his spontaneous combustion of a temper and difficulty to converse with. Reading the other reviews, it sounds as if he's good at what he does and is very accommodating IF he sees potential dollars coming his way. But checking with other business people, the story was the same: He's extremely difficult and irascible and unsupportive towards other local businesses.
