Get directionsExcited to see Bilt Neighborhood Cafe and wanted to give it a chance as I really needed a tea and small pastry. Waited over 10 mins (giving them benefit of the doubt that maybe they were busy handling something). The location is also very visibly dirty.
Small interior w/ little to no seating or tables. Came on Bilt Rent Day for their complimentary Popup Bagel and Maman coffee around 10:15 am. Line wasn’t too long, and service was quick - Popup Bagel everything bagel: 6/10, was cold and hard, unlike actual Popup Bagel’s fresh bagels. Wish it was warmed up - Popup Bagel scallion cream cheese: 8/10, yum. Came in a small cup but was enough for the bagel - Popup Bagel lemon pepper cream cheese (Wingstop collab): 3/10, wasn’t a fan - Maman coffee: 5/10, meh
I was told that the day I arrived was a monthly event, but I can only review based on my visit, not what happens the rest of the month. During my visit, there were no espresso beverages to be had, and the only food available were bagels. The coffee was all pre-made. I.e., essentially the entire menu was unavailable. A cafe that doesn’t prepare fresh coffee, doesn’t make espresso beverages, and has one food item, and is otherwise not comfortable - no seats, for example - is not good.
