Relaxing fun – Billy's has a relaxing and spacious environment with a variety of things to keep you occupied. The servers are friendly and the food is good and not overpriced.
Bouncers and Bartender are really mean – I have been to Billy's a lot of times in the past. Usually it's fun, but this time it was not so. As I tried to get through the front door, the bouncer demanded to see my id and then called me a HO bag for not being fast enough. (It was pretty crowded). Needless to say, I couldn't believe it. A Great Bar with witchy waitress – I've been to Billy's many times. We usually have a great time there. The patio is gret in the summer and it is a fun place to meet friends and just hang. However, when a mistake is made on a food order and we have to wait an hour for a new plate of nachos. Is it really asking too much for the waitress to not roll her eyes point-blank in front of us when we ask if we will be getting a discount. Right.... – For a text book definition of bouncers on a power trip, combined with unintelligent and rude wait/barstaff visit this place. I have had two bad experiences there and will never go back. The first time I was harrased by a bouncer who had supposedly has seen fakes better than my NH License, (ya you have funny i don't have trouble anywhere else in the cities). The second time my girlfriend was accused of not paying her bill (even though they had the check she paid with they chose to call her house and harass her). I... read more
rude bouncers – My first visit to Billy's was terrible. A friend wasn't able to come in due to a clipped license without papers (although it was because he was turning 25.) The bouncers were rude and made fun of him, he came back with his valid passport and they turned him away because they "felt like it." They got a big kick out of it. I'll never go back.
Good times & Lucy's cute! – We were a large group of women there for dinner - service was great & so was the food! We also checked out the Lucy since someone wrote a nasty review about her - Hmm seems that person can't read. Lucy is holding cute mugs of ROOTBEER!!! I don't think you can get drunk off of rootbeer! And as for being a blond - there was also a fushia colored one & brown haired & multi-colored ones. So the blond is cute. So Billy's and Lucy get a thumbs up from us gals!
Lucy likes Rootbeer.... – In response to the complaints regarding the "Lucy" in front of Billy's on Grand, I would like to point out that Lucy is holding ROOTBEER, which is clearly printed on the side of each of her mugs. I would also like to point out that Billy's did not design the statue, so I highly doubt this is an advertising ploy, nor is it a promotion for alcoholism or drinking and driving.
I love Billy's!!!!!!! – In St.Paul the one place to be is Billy's.I love the outdoor patio for happy hour.The food is very good and the service is top notch.I highly recommend Billy's for a great time!!!!!
Billy's is ruining the Peanuts – I must say most of the Lucy's that are part of the Peanuts sculpture group are great. The Lucy in front of Billy's is just disturbing. Lucy has BLONDE hair and is holding 6 beers in her hand. Since when does Lucy have blonde hair and when is she a raving drunk who endorses drunk driving? Anyone who had 6 beers would get a DUI for sure. I think Billy's has taken the "advertising" affect a little too far. Lucy is a symbol of girl power and hope.
