Bill's Records & Tapes ...now on Lamar in Dallas...Bill's is a rare historic treasure in Dallas, a town where the original, the eclectic, the slightly-less-than-coifed is discouraged. Even at Bill's new location next to Poor David's Pub, there is an aroma of stale and musty treasures (and a little bit of cigarette smoke)! The CD's and albums are separated by hand-written carboard dividers, and the classique concert t-shirts, stickers, buttons and posters are shop-worn.. but in the most wonderful way! Its Moved! Bills has moved from Richardson to Downtown Dallas. Its near the Palladium Ballroom, Absinthe Lounge, and South Side on Lamar. They have a large selection of records but its incredibly hard to look through them. I couldn't find anything when i went. If you want old rock records this is a good place but for anything else go to Forever Young in Grand Prairie.

Looking for rare and hard to find? If you're looking for a rare recordign of a song or album, or just want to find somethign cool, then Bill's got it. Whether it be the gold cd of Dark side of the moon, or a vinyl pressing of the flying burrito brothers, then Bill is your man. The guy himself isnt the nicest person in the world, but he's got great music, and that's what matters.

A great local Record shop Bills Records is a great place to go if you have hours to spare and you are into music. Bill carries everything known to recorded music. If you are looking for a rare CD or Vinyl Records, I am sure Bill has it. If he does not have it, He can get it for you. It is not a nice clean place to take a date and if you are a non-smoker, Bill does not care. He will smoke in the store and it is something that everyone knows.
