I attended Billabong over a period of 18 months. While I gained some benefit initially, I ultimately found the environment degenerated into something quite unwelcoming and, over time, damaging to my mental health. Over several months, I experienced a consistent lack of basic acknowledgment from some staff members. On multiple occasions, I was not greeted, spoken to, or acknowledged at any point during my time there. They were very supportive and took their time to understand my needs and to help me to become independent whilst supporting my health issues.
