Pancakes and bacon, oh yeah! Yes it's dingy. Yes it's crowded. Yes it's hours are not great. That said, food is awesome. It's been there 50 years and has been named a historic landmark. This is good old fashioned mom and pop at it's best. Plus, just like any good old iron skillet-the years of seasoning make everything taste better!
Dingy Diner I don't much care for Bill Smith's Cafe. This small diner is dingy and crowded, and has very poor hours of operation. Once you get inside, however, the food is good enough, so I have to give it three stars. If you want special, this isn't it. If you want dinner, it'll do.
Local Diner Any time Bill Smith's Cafe is open, you can count on it being packed. There's a reason for this -- this mom and pop diner serves some seriously good home cookin'. If you like Texas style chicken fried steak and plate lunches that taste like Grandma's in the kitchen, you owe it to yourself to check out Bill Smith's. PROS: Great food and prices CONS: Smokey, crowded, limited hours of operation
