Why do so many clients of BBSS North give it a 5 star review? Because the staff are highly skilled and friendly, caring people; the equipment is terrific (they just got in new machines too!); the semi-private trainings are well-thought out (I have yet to do a large group class but I've heard they're also good); all the trainers are great; the Big Boss (aka BillB) is a lovely, kind human being who really knows his stuff; and they keep coming up with fun challenges -- like FITOPOLY-- ask them about it. I’ve been training here for almost a year now and it’s been amazing. I do Semi-Private Personal Training with Julie, and she’s absolutely fantastic — knowledgeable, supportive, and great at helping you build strength with proper form. The gym is clean, welcoming, and has a great community of kind, encouraging people. I’ve gotten much stronger, built a solid routine, and actually enjoy showing up consistently. If you’re looking for expert guidance in a positive environment, this is the place.

Bill Burnett's Success Studio North has been one of the best gym experiences I've had. A year ago I was managing a very difficult medical condition and losing strength, endurance and challenged with maintaining hope. I knew the first two could improve at the gym, but I never would have imagined hope would be renewed, too. Julie and Jake listened to my story and the goals that I had for myself. My husband and I moved to Charlottesville and we were looking for a place to do group workouts. I am so glad we found Bill Burnett’s Studio North. The trainers Julie and Gabby are amazing. They both are very knowledgeable and if they see me struggling with a certain exercise they both recommend a different way to work the same muscle group. I have certain limitations so this is very helpful for me. We like the variety of classes offered and they change each month.
