On September 24th 2025 I had an Endoscopy at Centra Southside Community Hospital. Dr.Bal including his staff, Sarah,Carol, Leslie, Brandi, Larry, Adriane, Heather, Are very courteous and more than outstanding. Very Knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend This Team. They are awsome.
I sought treatment from a gastroenterologist for serious gastrointestinal issues I was experiencing. I had an appointment scheduled with the nurse practitioner, which often proved problematic in the past due to their lack of expertise. After having blood work done, I was initially told the results would be available in two weeks. His bed side manner sucks. He is very rude to walk in and call someone fat and say loose weight and then walk out. His nurse was evil to and rude they don't care about the patients. My husband went after me and the nurse was flirting with my husband as well. I can't believe people say Dr. Bal is the best. They need to shut centra down anyway. I wouldn't let them care for my dog
Office is slow in getting referrals and orders for test to be done. Sitting here for over two hours waiting on a paracentesis and there is no order. Had to call the office to get it done. No excuse. I'm an hour away from where test is to be done.
My husband and I have each had two colonoscopies with Dr. Bal over the years, as recommended for preventative care. We have been very impressed with Dr. Bal and his staff. They are professional and personable. Dr. Bal has a very pleasant manner, patiently answering all of our questions and addressing our concerns. We highly recommend him for colonoscopies.
