We didn't really get a chance to look around. As soon as you walk in, the woman, who i'm assuming is the owner is super pushy. She will take your bike before you even have a chance to think about it. We were charged $85 per $80 WALMART bike we brought in. Really the handlebars and the breaks needed adjusting, the seat and pedals were already screwed on and in place. I would assume for a shop working on 900$ bikes daily would charge $10 each at most for something as simple as a Walmart bike. Not only that it took a whole day ... read more
I'm not a bike expert,but the lady working there around 11:30am -12pm was rude with me. I had just went inside the bicycle store,"Bike Effect ", and asjed to inflate my inner tube. As I was getting ready to inflate the inner tube,she offered to do so. Before I could give a concrete answer,she took initiative and began inflating both tires. Then after,she finished inflating them,seconds later, they popped. I maintained my composure because it wasn't worth being upset about. Thanks so much to The crew at Bike Effect. I bought my Kuat bike rack there -which I love. But, when on a road trip to the SF Alcatraz Triathlon- the two locks - one to secure my bike and the other to lock the rack to the hitch, somehow fell off on the trip- making the rack- a little useless. I got quick help tracking down my purchase Info and the lifetime warranty from the staff. I got all the replacement Parts I needed free and my rack is ready to use again- no charge!
