Great place! Everyone was very friendly and the beer and food were good!
Gord and I had supper at Big Tide Brewing Co. on Friday evening. Gord had Coquilles Saint John (Our version of Coquille St. Jacques is a decadent combination of haddock, shrimp & scallops in a white cream sauce surrounded by fries and a veg medley) and enjoyed it. I had Pepperoni Mac and Cheese (Made in-house creamy mac and cheese tossed with Maritime made Chris Brothers pepperoni), which was really good. Rachel was helpful and took good care of us.
Actually a bit of a disappointment for us and our taste - I found the beer somewhat underwhelming and the food was just ok. Plus, there is not too much to choose from beerwise compared with other breweries. Six beers on tap are not that much (and especially important for me, just one ipa...). All that being said and depending on your individual preferences, there might be better spots in downtown Saint John....
It felt like your home town bar. Chris was super friendly and quite informative.
