Hidden jem of Siesta Key. The kind of local hole-in-the-wall I seek out when traveling. Great food, fresh fish to take home, and lots of friendly people(staff,locals and tourists)
Tucked away in a strip mall, Big Water is a great place to go to pick up locally sourced fish to take home and cook, have them cook it for you or sit down to a nice meal. They have a booming to-go business as well. Go early, it’s small and busy for dinners. On this trip, we had them cook our fish selection to bring back to our condo and serve up with our own sides and the next night stayed there for dinner. This place was recommended to us by our charter Captain to have our catch cooked and man did it not disappoint! Excellent service and we felt right at home. Thanks Tyler for making us feel like we've been coming there for years. We had our fish fried and blackened and it was cooked to perfection - fall apart and tender. The breading was barely there and crisp just like we like it. My husband is not a seafood fan and ordered the smash burger and he said it was delicious. We can't say enough great things about this place!
