We were seated promptly at lunch. Their selection of vegetables was pretty good and the slaw was especially tasty. My friends ordered a cuban sandwich but got a reuben. When the mistake was told to the server, he went to check with the kitchen. He returned and said well the reuben was a lot better than the cuban. It was a good sandwich but not what was ordered. After hiking Thunder Rock Trail on the Ocoee, my wife and I stopped at Big Tom’s Backyard Grill. We each had the pulled pork platter. She had fried okra and macaroni and cheese with the platter. I had sweet potato fries and macaroni and cheese with my platter. The pulled pork had a really good flavor and taste. The okra and sweet potato fries were really good. Interesting place with some history. But the food was mediocre at best. We had the Angus burger with steak fries and pulled pork sandwich with hot potato salad. Burger was frozen and reminded me of a Bubba Burger from Sam's Club, very disappointing. Best part of this meal were the steak fries. Pulled pork was good to real good, but very small helping on a very plain bun. BBQ on side was very good and coleslaw was good.
