Recently finished our build and took possession on January 30th. From start to finish the experience was exciting and due to the quality of craftsmanship always wanted to just move in that day, even when the home was only 60% of the way. When we decided to move back to Michigan after 17 years we drove through Deerfield Preserve and loved the look of the homes and the neighborhood. We made the decision to build with Big Sky Development and we are very glad we did. The process of building is never without some bumps along the way, at times communication was difficult, but in the end we love the results. As a recent client, I would suggest considering an alternative builder. My basement started leaking after being in for just over a year, reported this issue to Big Sky Aug 27, 2023 and was told my warranty was up. Don't let any response to this fool you, do your research! Feel a lot of disappointment with the process and finished product. For anyone thinking of signing with Bigsky, think twice. We wanted to build a craftsman style home and Big Sky had many beautiful designs. We took our favorite home and were able to make significant changes, along with many upgrades. The list can be endless. All of the vendors Big Sky use do exceptional work. Don't be afraid to go bold, the homes in our neighborhood are stunning and the kitchens especially beautiful. We absolutely love our forever home.
