The food is good
If you have 15 dollars go to McDonald’s do not eat here the food taste old, dry and all around terrible. The sides ( collard greens, mac and cheese, yams ,,,, collards were not soul food seasoned but just seasoned not cooked softer or cut down properly as most of us know how to, the mac and cheese was runny definitely not baked smh and the yams were too sweet. Honestly this restaurant gets no stars. Soul roll had old meat and was soggy.
I had a catfish dinner, when I say that fish was fried to absolute perfection! I also had Mac, greens and back beans. Everything was so good. That will be my weekend go to!
I ordered for the first time on door dash and I got the catfish meal with the Mac and yams. A side of potato salad. The catfish was cooked to perfection the Mac was wonderful! The yams were pretty good I wish they were a little softer but still pretty good... the potato salad was disappointing I'm not sure which seasoning was adding but it was just too much for me I would only take two bites and had to throw it out... but overalll the food was good! I would definitely be back!!!
Sat on the phone with the owner for about an hour around 4th of July He's very proud of his restaurant and recipes and rightfully so The ribs were fall off the bone the catfish was fried perfectly and everything he said they do to their food from scratch I can tell The only complaint I have is I feel the mac and cheese at barbecue places should be baked not stove top but outside of that everything I had was great and the shake really tastes home made, I'm definitely a returning customer from now on
