I gave Big O's a try and was a little disappointed. After reading the reviews, I was hoping for better BBQ. I tried the pulled pork and sliced brisket with sides of fried okra and "yellow" potato salad. They also offer a "white" potato salad. I also had the oreo pudding dessert. First off, I couldn't detect any "smoke" on either of the meats or in the establishment at all. The pulled pork tasted a bit drier than I would have hoped for. Fantastic BBQ and the owners are super nice. Definitely amongst my favorite choices when going out to eat with coworkers.
Midwest City is fortunate to have several great barbecue restaurants and each one has something on the menu that is especially outstanding. When I go see Big O, it is definitely for the pulled pork or turkey- which are as good as they get! This is a small, friendly family-owned outfit that truly caters to its customers.
This is my favorite place to get real bbq. They really smoke it everyday, they have big bbq grills on site and everything is tender! The ribs fall off the bone, the brisket is good and tender, the chicken is good and tender, turkey good and tender, i cant remember the name but the big potato with everything on it was bomb! Ive tried just about everything on the menu and I haven't been let down or even close to it!
