If you’re looking for a guide for your Maine moose hunt, I recommend Big Mountain Outfitters. I could not have more respect for them and the guide service/hunting camp they’ve set up. We just had the hunt of a lifetime with them. Shot a 56” Zone 1 bull on our third day. No guide service can guarantee a moose, but by the end of the first day me and my sub already knew that even if we didn’t shoot a moose that week, we were happy we went with Big Mountain Outfitters. From the minute we pulled in I knew we were with the right crew. They not only provided awesome tent setups and great food, they paired us with the most experienced guides that tailored the experience for what each hunter in camp was capable of doing. Do yourself a favor and book with these guys. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Best of luck in your Maine Northwoods adventure, I sure enjoyed mine!

Big Mountain Outfitters is a top notch firm. The owner’s experience and connections allow for zones swaps if necessary. The experienced group of guides puts in countless hours of scouting and has many trail cams that are monitored year round. When it comes to the hunt, the effort put into pursuing a trophy bull is second to none. This is not a road hunting outfit as you pursue trophies deep off the beaten path on foot.
