They refuse medical care to new patients. Very sad state of affairs in Hawaii that are medical system is so broken that it’s impossible to get a pediatric physician for our kids. And shame on this office will not even trying to accommodate people. In my opinion, it goes against the medical oath.
Listen. I love Dr. Recto. Hands down one of the best pediatrician we’ve ever had. BUT not super happy with Big Island healthcare. They require 15 min check in prior to appointment. Standard and understandable. But if you are a few minutes past the 15 min check in, automatic reschedule. Frustrating mainly because “we have a full schedule”. No cars in parking lot, no one in lobby. Check in takes 5 mins….the reschedule literally puts me out 2 more months. Not the best patient care. My son have appt at 3:40 were their at 330. Lady in front office cancelled my appointment and said were late...... very disappointed
I am beyond grateful for the exceptional care my baby has received at Big Island Healthcare! From the moment we walked into the clinic, we were welcomed by a warm and friendly team that made us feel at ease.
