This is an amazing place to check out! The staff is amazing. The price is just right. The self guided tours are where it’s at! The place is rich in so much history. There’s so much to see here!
I went on an 8 hour explore at this site, and thoroughly enjoyed everything about my experience here! There is so much to see in these historic and beautifully abandoned buildings, and the owners and their staff could not have been more helpful and courteous. The process to obtain a tour pass and on-site orientation is quick and easy, and the cost is well worth such an unforgettable experience. This place has the best abandoned tour that I’ve ever been to and it’s even better then Eastern State and Pennhurst in my opinion. Eastern State and Pennhurst are still good but this place is better in my opinion.
I cannot say enough good things about this place and the fantastic people who run it! Instead of tearing down this amazing property or letting it needlessly deteriorate, they are taking advantage of the unique properties of the former prison buildings for sustainable, hydroponic farming.
