Did not disappoint for a random road trip stop.
What a gem! Neighborhood bar & restaurant tucked just off a busy road with the best Polish food. Ordering the pierogies and sausage are a must! But, there's a variety of fresh made menu items to choose from. Sunday's are Queen/ King of Hearts drawings so get there early or you won't find a parking spot! And Stan does a great job of making sure everyone has pull- tabs, too. Good experience, great staff, comfortable atmosphere.
The food is so authentic it reminded me of eating at grandma's house! I haven't had stuff cabbage taste so good like that in years. Great prices and good portions of food. Stan and Jill make you feel at home. Stan and Jill make you feel at home.
I live about 3 hours away and happened to be in town for a meeting. Had seen this place on Chicago's best years ago. I got there before the mid-day rush and glad I did! At noon on the dot the local workers started pouring in. That's how you know it's good. And it was! Food was obviously homemade. Great Polish sausages and fries.
