Took my minivan to replace the thermostat cost $400 a little pricey. Took my Escape for a new ac compressor to be put on that I had already purchased, I was quoted by the owner that it'd be around $350-$450. I took it in. The mechanics working on it then said that I needed two hoses replaced and that if they supplied them that it'd be $900 that's a huge jump for two hoses plus labor. Agreed to the high price.
